
“Sakshamta Mission – A joint effort of RPS Infrastructure Ltd & Red Cross Society”
“Akshamta Se Sakshamta Ki Ore”
An initiative is being taken by RPS Infrastructure Limited for making its contribution towards the social cause of providing artificial limbs to the physically challenged people and thereby helping in rehabilitation of such handicapped section of the Society. This social project, named as “Sakshamta Mission” is being undertaken in co-ordination with Red Cross Society. In this regard, an MOU has been signed by Chairman, Mr. Shanti Parkash Gupta, on behalf of RPS Infrastructure Limited and Hon’ble Dy. Commissioner of Faridabad, Dr. Rakesh Gupta, on behalf of Red Cross Society on 21st Jan 2012. Under this social venture, RPS Infrastructure Limited has developed a mobile van, fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for making artificial limbs. Red Cross Society will carry out a survey & identify physically handicapped people in Faridabad, Gurgaon, Palwal & Mewat. Fully equipped team will visit the areas identified by Red Cross Society & artificial limbs will be implanted on spot on needy people. This project will enable physically handicapped people to start their independent life once again and will help them to connect with main stream of the society.
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Bhupinder Singh Hooda inaugurated the Mobile Van in a scintillating function in a School in Bhopani, Greater Faridabad. Speaking on this occasion, he appreciated the initiative taken by RPS Infrastructure Limited for developing the Mobile Van & informed the audience that this project is first of its kind in Haryana and it is a blessing to the differently abled people of villages as this will give a new lease of life to them.
The Van is developed & will be maintained by RPS Infrastructure Limited. It is fully equipped with all the necessary equipments required to develop the artificial limbs & a Gen Set of 5 KVA for independent operations at any site. The raw material will be provided by the Red Cross Society, Faridabad. The idea is to provide artificial limbs, free of cost, to all such needy people at their door step so that they do not need to run around or travel far distance to get the limbs.
The project is initially for a period of five years, which will be further extended after a review. The facility is being provided under Haryana Govt.’s “SAKSHAMTA MISSION” & hence the motto “AKSHAMTA SE SAKSHAMTA KI ORE”.
